Turning a pile of PDFs into a site people use
Their best material was stuck in folders nobody opened. We turned it into a fast site you can search.
The problem
Years of good reference material sat in a shared drive as loose files. If you didn't already know a file was there, you'd never find it.
The existing process
Search the drive by file name, guess at folders, or ask a coworker where something is. Most of it may as well not have existed.
Why it mattered
They paid to make all of it. But the value was locked up, just because you couldn't search it or link it together.
What we did
We turned the material into a clean site you can search. One tidy page per item, links between related ones, and it's fast on any device.
The result
The library went from an unsearchable drive to a site people actually open, search, and share. The stuff they already paid for finally gets used.
What happened next
With the setup in place, adding a new item became a small, simple step instead of one more file lost in the drive.
